Founded in 2006, Match2BioSME is a European information and support center for the life science community. Match2BioSME is structured around the following three key activities:

• Organization of partnering events
• Organization of promotion and coaching workshops

• Development and promotion of online tools and guidelines related to FP7

 Partnering events will physically bring together industry entrepreneurs and academic professionals (e.g. technology transfer officers, head of research divisions, etc.) in order to allow them to exchange information on research projects and explore collaborative opportunities in mutual fields of interests.  These events will be structured around general introductory presentations by industry experts followed by the traditional one-on-one sessions of each 20 minutes.  Upon registration to an event, participants will have the opportunity to screen for candidate meeting-partners and to organize online their calendar of meetings before the meeting takes place.

Promotion and coaching workshops will promote those parts of the FP7 funded projects relevant for life sciences amongst biotech SMEs and academic institutions, particularly in the new Member States. In addition to general information sessions, the participants will have the opportunity to organize one-on-one meetings with experts from the consortium to discuss specific issues on FP7 project submission, approval and execution. The workshops are open to biotech SMEs and representatives from academic institutions (e.g. grant officers, technology transfer offices, etc.).

Online tools and guidelines will provide high-quality information on research partnering opportunities across Europe, on how to prepare and submit proposals under FP7, and on upcoming, outstanding and closed calls.
